Best Bets: Week 5

(Last Week: 2-1-1)

If you have stuck with me throughout the season, I finally rewarded you with a net positive Sunday! Congratulations! I knew this day would eventually come, but it was looking bleak there for a while, but I finally felt good after watching the Sunday Slate.

But, just as a positive weekend can change the mood for the better, I know that a negative weekend can change the mood for the worst. So we are going to do everything we can do to keep the good vibes coming!

It was so bad that at one point, I was actively rooting for tie, just so it wasn’t a loser! Obviously, I would’ve loved for the Vikings to make the extra point and hopefully win the game, but we will take what we can take! The only loss last week was my undying belief that the Bears’ offense has to snap out of it eventually, and unfortunately for me, it does not. The Titans dominated the Colts and the Cardinals/Panthers held on to stay under the number.

Let’s take another step in a positive direction!

Favorite – Tennessee Titans (-1.5) at Washington Commanders

Mike Vrabel is one of the best at getting his players to play their best. After a couple of disappointing losses to start the year, the Titans are beginning to figure it out. The Commanders have not shown any sign of life this season, and their fans’ patience with Carson Wentz is wearing thin. Derrick Henry has a big game, and the Titans roll.

Underdog – Seattle Seahawks (+5.5) at New Orleans Saints

How are the Saints favored by this much over anyone? The Saints are coming off three straight losses and there are still questions about the health of Jameis Winston and Michael Thomas. Geno Smith has the Seahawks offense humming and look for a close game in the Caesars Superdome

Over – Atlanta Falcons/Tampa Bay Buccaneers over 46

Tom Brady might be getting some of his weapons back this week, while the Atlanta Falcons have figured out that they are allowed to run the ball. I expect Brady to get his points this week, and I think the Falcons can keep it close (Maybe a Kyle Pitts sighting). Give me the over in Tampa

Under – Chicago Bears/Minnesota Vikings under 44

Let’s hope this is the week that I predict the Bears offense correctly. I think the Vikings coming off a trip to London and the Bears having a rough offensive start to the season can be a recipe for an under in Minneapolis.

Best of luck in Week 5!
