As we roll into this holiday season, it’s very cliche to state all the things that we are thankful for. But, after the past two years that we have had, there’s a lot to be thankful for. For instance, the fact that we are having an NFL season, without much interruption is something that we all should be thankful for.
But clearly, there are bigger things than football. Some things are obviously bigger than sports. I am extremely thankful for DJ, and everyone at For Fantasy’s Sake, for giving me this opportunity. I haven’t hit all my picks, but I’ve had a blast writing this article every week.
I am also extremely thankful for my family. My wife, my young daughter, and everyone else in my family. These past two years have not been easy, but with them, every day has been a little bit better.
And last but not least, I’m thankful for everyone who is reading this. Whether you laugh off all my picks (especially when I pick the Lions or the Texans) or you have tailed some of my picks. I am thankful for you all each week.
With all the being said, I hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving and a safe Holiday weekend!
Week 11 Recap
Philadelphia Eagles (-2, -110) vs the New Orleans Saints. Eagles win 40-29.
To copy my article from last week, the Eagles have found something. Jalen Hurts real-life production is finally matching his fantasy performances. The Eagles have figured out how to run the ball and mix in a pass when needed. In a year where seven teams make the playoffs, the Eagles are going to make a push for a Wild Card Berth.
Miami (-3.5, -110) at the New York Jets. Dolphins win 24-17.
This game was close throughout the whole game. I thought Joe Flacco and the Jets were going to spoil a really good early slate. But Tua and the Dolphins ended up pulling out a win and cover for Tim. (Not sure if I’ll have the opportunity to pick the Dolphins again this season, so this felt nice)
Kansas City (-2.5, -115) vs the Dallas Cowboys. 19-9
The Chiefs are….kind of back. Mahomes and co. still look a little shaky but they are moving in the right direction. Somehow the Chiefs’ defense wins this game for them, and if the defense keeps playing well, and the offense figures it out, the Chiefs will be a scary team come playoff time.
Lock of the Week
Las Vegas Raiders (+1, -115) vs the Cincinnati Bengals. Bengals win 32-13
Another week, another miss for the lock of the week. The Bengals off a bye are able to take care of business and might’ve put a nail in the roller coaster season the Las Vegas Raiders have had. On to next week.
Weekly Record: 3-1-0
Overall Record: 23-21-0
Lock of the week: 4-7-0
Week 12 Card
All lines are current as of Wednesday Night on the Draftkings Sportsbook
Jacksonville Jaguars (+2, -110) vs the Atlanta Falcons
Ok here me out, two bad teams. 98% of the money is on the Falcons. What can go wrong? The Falcons look like a mess, and this could be a spot for the Jaguars to essentially end the Falcons seasons. Jags win at home.
Titans (+7, -115) at the New England Patriots
EVERYONE, and I mean EVERYONE is believing in the New England Patriots. Not so fast my friend. The NFL finds a way to humble you. In a rematch of the 2019 playoffs, Mike Vrabel will look to keep his edge over Bill Belichick. I’m not sure if the Titans will win, but I think they keep it within the number.
Philadelphia Eagles (-3.5, -110) at the New York Giants
Freddie Kitchens is NOT the answer. And I don’t think Jason Garrett was the problem. The Giants make a rash decision to fire their offensive coordinator, and I think we’ll see Joe Judge be out of a job here sometime soon. One team is peaking, the other is falling fast. Give me the Eagles.
Lock of the Week
San Francisco 49ers (-3, -110) vs the Minnesota Vikings
The 49ers can run the ball. They live to take the air out of the ball and control the clock. And it does not matter who is running the ball. Elijah Mitchell? Sure. Jeff Wilson Jr? Why not? Deebo Samuel? Heck, we got to get him the ball somehow. I look for the 49ers to continue their dominance and run the ball all over Minnesota.
Best of Luck and Happy Turkey Day!
