The Patriots have been busy during the NFL’s legal tampering period.

They have already added pass-catchers WR Nelson Agholor and TE Jonnu Smith, now they have agreed to a deal with Hunter Henry.

The former Charger agreed to a 3-year, $37.5 million deal.

Henry came on long gang busters, catching 12 touchdowns in his first two seasons, finishing as TE11 and TE12, respectively.

He has struggled staying on the field since, missing all of 2018 and missing six games in the last two season.

Henry had 613 yards on 60 catches and four scores catching passes from Justin Herbert last season, finishing as the TE15.

While it was Tom Brady, not Cam Newton throwing the football, the Patriots offense has supported two tight ends in the past.

In 2011, both Rob Gronkowski and Aaron Hernandez topped 900 yards, with Gronk catching 17 TDs and Hernandez catching seven.
