With just over 24 hours left in the exclusive rights period, the Packers and running back Aaron Jones agreed to a four year deal.
Jones has been a key cog in the Packers’ offense the last two seasons, leading the league with 16 rushing touchdowns two years ago. He has topped 1,000 yards rushing in each of the last two seasons.
Jones reclaims his spot atop the Packers depth chart, overtaking offseason darling AJ Dillon.
He will look to add on to a good season that saw him finish as the RB5 and 13th overall scorer in fantasy a year ago.
Jones’ contract makes him the sixth-highest paid running back on an average annual value basis.
