For Frequency Sake Fantasy Football Stock Up, Stock Down – Week 7

Stock Up, Stock Down – Week 7

Stock Up, Stock Down – Week 7 post thumbnail image

After a few fantasy stars had a breakout Week 6, and some who had performed consistently since Week 5, there are players I am buying up all the stock I can on and others who I am abandoning ship on.

Philadelphia Eagles – Travis Fulgham

In Week 4, Fulgham caught two passes for 57 yards and a touchdown. Ok, that is fine. In Week 5, the man comes back with 10 receptions, 152 yards and a touchdown. Alright, we see you, and this is when you should have added him to your teams. In week 6, Travis posted six catches for 75 yards and his third touchdown in three weeks. He is not a pretender, not a fluke, and should be in your starting line up. Buy this stock!

New England Patriots – Damiere Byrd

Byrd is a great dynasty pick up and has caught no less than three passes in each of the Patriots’ last 4 contests. He has yet to find the end zone this season, but I believe it is only a matter of time. Byrd is most likely a free agent in your league and is a sneaky stash. Not that he’s in a high octane pass offense, but he is on the field as much as can be. This is a real low-risk option that can only go up from here.

Washington Football Team – J.D. McKissic

If you are looking for a running back, J.D. may be a smart option to grab in free agency. He is only rostered in 52% of fantasy leagues and has quietly been producing in the Washington backfield. McKissic has caught 19 passes for 129 yards over the last three weeks. He has clearly earned himself a role in the pass-catching game and could bring a little value in an offense trying to find its footing.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers – Scottie Miller

I have officially given up on Scottie Miller. One week, he didn’t put up a single point, and the next, he only managed one reception for six yards. And there were plenty of opportunities to do so. But now that Godwin is healthy and Gronk has re-established a connection with Brady, it is time to move on.

Jacksonville Jaguars – James Robinson

Robinson’s stock is fine, but now might be a good time to consider selling for a bigger fish. With a slew of solid defenses coming up after the Jags’ Week 8 bye, he will face Green Bay (Week 10), Pittsburgh (Week 11), Cleveland (Week 12), Baltimore (Week 15), Chicago (Week 16), and Indy (Week 17). Currently, the number seven rank back in fantasy, Robinson could draw some attention in trade talks. Look for that window to close soon, though.
